South African Airways set dates for its Africa Showcase, which will take place Sept. 29-Oct. 7. The annual travel trade show will take place this year in Los Angeles on Sept. 29, in Dallas on Oct. 1, in Boston on Oct. 5 and in Toronto on Oct. 7.

It will be the first time the event has been held in Canada. Nearly 30 suppliers from 12 African countries are set to participate.

South African Airways calls the Africa Showcase the largest travel trade event in North America that includes only African suppliers, including hotels, safari lodges, attractions and destination marketing organizations. The show targets Africa specialists in the North American market.

The annual event is growing, according to Todd Neuman, SAA’s vice president commercial for North America. “We are proud to see the Africa Showcase getting bigger and more popular every year,” said Neuman. “We are also very excited to bring our show and suppliers to the Canadian travel specialists for the first time. It is a strategic and growing market for SAA and we look forward to a very successful first edition.”
