Africa Showcase debuts in South-East Asia

The Africa Showcase, organised by On Show Solutions, will make its debut in On Show Solutions in July, with shows in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

“We believe the time is right to launch a series of trade events in south-east Asia,” says Jacqui Reynolds of On Show Solutions. “We’ve participated at ITB Asia for six years and every year we are asked to organise a roadshow in the region.”

According to On Show, while many African companies have invested heavily in India and China, results show that these markets are beginning to plateau as companies consolidate their relationships. South-east Asia is still in a growth phase, with strongest growth forecast for Indonesia.

“The additional bonus is that travellers from Malaysia and Singapore are not affected by South Africa’s visa regulations to the same degree as other Asian countries,” says On Show’s Amanda Margison.

South African Airways is offering trade rates for early-bird suppliers as well as event prizes for the buyers.
